Ferrier proves that he's an all rounder, from ideation to
execution; from coming up with the idea to actually hand making the booth. Adam spoofs guests into thinking that they were getting their photo
taken, when in fact they received a hand drawn caricature from an artist
hidden behind a meshed screen. Adam received a internal pioneer award for going places he had never
been and using parts of his brain that he had probably never used whilst
constructing the Foto Spoof.
Naked turned 5 last Friday and we celebrated our birthday with our clients and industry friends. The highlight of the evening was the Photo Spoof that Adam and Paul MC built with their bare hands! What is a Photo Spoof I hear you ask? It's constructed like an old school photo booth, however instead of taking photos we had an artists draw peoples' caricatures. The luminous ultra-violet painted ping pong tables were a hit too!
Some ambitious marketers aren’t satisfied
with ad campaigns that generate little bumps in sales, and they’re willing to
do the extra work to find and tap into a larger insight and opportunity for
their brand. They change whatever needs to be changed in order to make that
happen. The Ministry of Muffins brand is the result of such effort.
Last year, George Weston Foods, along with Naked Communications, decided
to completely transform the ‘Little Bites’ brand.
An extensive strategic planning process identified that to create a step change
in fortunes for the brand it need a complete overhaul. GWF and Naked have
transformed everything about Little Bites over the last year. After re segmenting
the market, a bigger opportunity for the brand was identified, and a new master
brand (The Ministry of Muffins) was created to meet this opportunity.
This work has resulted in reformulating the product and improving nutritional
profile, completely redesigning the packaging, and creating an integrated campaign.
Bronwyn Heys, Marketing and Innovation Director at GWF said, "we are very
happy with the strategic approach taken on this brand, and early responses from
retailers and consumers has been phenomenal. The way we partnered together is
being held up internally as a model way to work with an agency. Together,
we found a big insight and stayed true to it through every stage of the brand
transformation.”
“Naked and GWF have
been working together for over a year, and this represents the first in a
number of pieces of work to come to market shortly.” said Adam Ferrier, Partner
at Naked. “GWF have been brilliant to work with. We’re truly
bringing out the best in each other.”
